We were delighted to work with senior interior designer Rachele Bowley of Barr Design (part of the StuartBarr CDR group) on this project. The team share our passion for understated, minimalist living and chose someday designs' furniture & homewares to compliment the pared back aesthetic of the interior.
Designed with a young family and social gatherings in mind, the spacious open plan living works in perfect harmony with stunning countryside views. The original steel frame and concrete floor were retained with a vision to create 'a modern barn interpretation to reflect the original agriculture structure'.

The relaxed living room has a Scandi-style look with neutral shades that bring a sense of calm to the space. "By creating a very subtle palette and using simple shapes we were able to create an understated but striking interior which didn’t dominate the view." comments Rachele Bowley of Barr Design.
The neutral palette continues in the kids' bedrooms. The carefully chosen furniture and textiles create a playful, yet stylish space that children will love as much as the parent.
They chose our versatile plant box from Ferm Living (below) for storage in one of the bedrooms. This plant box is not just for plants, but can be used as a bedside unit, or as featured here displaying books for story time.
