bring the wild Nordic nature into your hallway

Scandinavian design is hugely influenced by Finland's strong design heritage and this season, Ferm Living has teamed up once again with Finnish design duo, Anni Pitkäjärvi and Hanna-Kaarina Heikkilä of Studio Finna on the sculptural Pujo Coat Stand.

"We wanted to design a coat stand that is simple, yet captivating, with a silhouette that balances functionality in an artful piece of furniture. The geometric looks adds to the sculptural essence of the coat stand, creating a powerful statement in the wardrobe or hallway", says Anni Pitkäjärvi.

The Pujo Coat Stand is inspired by the wild Nordic nature. Made from powder coated metal and black painted ash wood, Studio Finna imitates the basic structure of pujo - the Finnish word for the wild plant mugwort.

Studio Finna collaborate with Ferm Living on Pujo series

Danish design brand, Ferm Living and the award-winning Studio Finna first began collaborating after meeting at the renowned design fair in Milan, Salone Del Mobile in 2017 where Anni and Kaarina had a stand.

"When I saw their design, I instantly knew that we had to work together. Studio Finna's love of Scandinavian functionalism and their beautiful sculptural design language had me captivated immediately", says Ferm Living Creative Director and co-founder, Trine Andersen.
